PBO Ukraine Joins the High North Defence & Industry Cluster

1 May 2026

HNDIC is pleased to announce that PBO Ukraine has joined the cluster as a new member, further strengthening international cooperation within defence, security, and maritime industry.

PBO Ukraine is a Ukrainian boat manufacturing company with strong roots in Scandinavian maritime traditions. Established in Kyiv during the winter of 2024–2025, the company began production of its first fiberglass vessel, the Ragnar 28, in March 2025.

The company’s vision is firmly anchored in Ukraine’s current needs and long-term recovery. PBO Ukraine focuses on building high-speed boats based on proven hull designs, primarily intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At the same time, the company places strong emphasis on social responsibility by employing Ukrainian veterans with disabilities and creating a work environment that supports rehabilitation and reintegration.

PBO Ukraine combines Scandinavian design heritage with Ukrainian industrial capability. The company has established fiberglass production in Ukraine and brings together military experience, technical boat-building expertise, and a strong local network, making it a valuable partner for both defence-related and civilian maritime markets.

HNDIC welcomes PBO Ukraine as an important addition to the cluster’s growing international network.

We are proud to welcome PBO Ukraine as a member of HNDIC. Their combination of Scandinavian maritime knowhow, Ukrainian industrial capacity, and clear commitment to supporting Ukraine’s defence and veterans aligns strongly with our values and mission. We look forward to close cooperation and joint industrial development in the High North and beyond
