Fossefall AS Joins the High North Defence & Industry Cluster
1 May 2026
HNDIC is pleased to welcome Fossefall AS as a new member of the cluster. With Fossefall’s entry, HNDIC further strengthens its capabilities in AI infrastructure, data sovereignty, and critical digital capacity—areas of growing importance for defence, security, and national preparedness across NATO’s northern flank.
Fossefall is a Nordic infrastructure company established to develop and operate next-generation AI factories—purpose-built facilities optimized for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. The company leverages Nordic renewable energy, particularly hydropower, with a strong focus on security, sustainability, and European control over data and compute capacity.
By joining HNDIC, Fossefall becomes part of a rapidly growing industrial and strategic ecosystem that brings together actors across defence, energy, infrastructure, technology, and logistics in Norway, Sweden, and Finland. HNDIC’s mission is to strengthen cooperation, innovation, and delivery capacity toward both national defence forces and NATO-related markets.
Strategic Partnership with Seekr Technologies,Inc.
A key element of Fossefall’s industrial positioning is its strategic partnership with U.S.-based Seekr Technologies, a leading provider of trusted and explainable AI solutions to U.S. government and defence customers. The partnership is governed by multi-year, binding agreements granting Seekr Technologies priority access to AI capacity in the Nordics, while Seekr’s Technologies enterprise AI platform, SeekrFlow™, is deployed as the operational AI system across Fossefall’s AI factories.
This collaboration combines clean Nordic energy, secure physical infrastructure, and mature enterprise AI software, enabling sovereign, regulatory-compliant AI solutions for European enterprises and public-sector customers. The partnership is particularly targeted at users with stringent requirements for data security, auditability, and operational control—needs that closely align with defence and security applications.
A Strategic Addition to the HNDIC Ecosystem
Fossefall’s membership adds deep expertise in AI infrastructure, energy integration, and digital sovereignty to the HNDIC ecosystem, serving as an important link between physical infrastructure and advanced digital capabilities. This is highly relevant at a time when NATO nations in the High North face increasing demands for resilience, redundancy, and local control of critical technologies.
“Fossefall represents a new category of industrial actor at the intersection of energy, technology, and security. Their expertise and ambitions align strongly with HNDIC’s objective of building a robust and future-oriented defence-industrial ecosystem in the High North,” HNDIC states.
Fossefall is an industrial builder of critical and "sovereign" AI capabilities.
Through its membership in HNDIC, Fossefall aims to actively contribute to cross-sector and cross-border collaboration, and to the development of dual-use solutions that strengthen both civilian value creation and military preparedness in the Nordic region.
