Revixit Joins the High North Defence & Industry Cluster

HNDIC is pleased to welcome Revixit AS as a new member of the cluster.

The company has formed a collaboration with a supplier delivering circular and environmentally friendly treatment of industrial and defense waste fractions, enabled by Revixit's knowledge-based solutions.

Revixit AS, established in 2021 on Rødskjær near Harstad, operates end-of-life processing facilities for cables and metals and conducts research and development into new and improved methods for recycling production waste, with a focus on sustainability and continuous innovation in material recovery.

Revixit's geographic location in the region is an important framework factor that enables close market proximity and effective collaboration

private actors and the business community. A more efficient and socially beneficial treatment of waste fractions, while cutting out intermediaries in the waste stream, benefits the entire local community.

The ambition is to recover all components of cables, and through research, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, continuously better solutions are pursued. Plastics constitute a significant problem today; new technology focused on resource reuse contributes to solving the challenges for future generations. Traditional waste management has historically been oriented toward energy recovery, which often results in valuable raw materials being lost.

Recycling materials reduces environmental impact across the entire life cycle.

As part of its commitment to sustainability, the company powers its production with on-site solar energy from a facility covered by solar panels. Operational Process Overview

Revixit specializes in end-of-life processing of all types of filled cables and submarine cables.

Oil and grease are drained from the cables in an internally developed closed system, minimizing the risk of contamination or the release of hazardous substances. This is an internally developed system, making the solution unique in its execution.

After drainage, the cables are granulated and the plastic and metal fractions are separated into uniform streams suitable for reuse in new production.

The same principle applies to copper cables, where the treatment separates copper, plastic, and any fillers, achieving copper purity of 99.9%.

For aluminum cables, the separation between metal and plastic yields clean fractions that can be used in new products.

Through this integrated approach, material recovery is maximized and environmental impact is minimized across the value chain—from collection and treatment to finished products and waste minimization.

With a commitment to improving recycling rates and reducing process residues, Revixit operates in an environmentally friendly and climate-neutral manner.
