MACHIA joins the High North Defence Industry Cluster
HNDIC is pleased to welcome MACHIA as a new member. The Norwegian technology company develops and manufactures drones, fibre-optic connectivity solutions and field-ready support equipment for unmanned systems – built on operational experience and the principle of robust simplicity.
MACHIA is a Norwegian technology company developing unmanned systems, communication solutions and field-ready technical equipment. The company designs and manufactures drones, support equipment and fibre-optic connectivity solutions, targeting demanding operational environments and users who work beyond the limits of off-the-shelf products.
The company was founded by a team with extensive military experience, operational drone expertise and a background in technical development. That combination shapes the entire product philosophy: reliability, ease of use and practical effect in real situations take precedence over unnecessary complexity. The company's own phrasing, “robust simplicity for complex problems” captures the approach well.

Development and production capability
MACHIA combines CAD, CNC machining, composite production and additive manufacturing within its own value chain. This shortens the path from concept to physical solution and allows the company to iterate quickly on user feedback. The capability also covers payload integration as well as set-up and configuration of MACHIA systems and related equipment.
Training and competence support
Tactical Courses – practical use of unmanned systems in modern operational environments.
Technical Courses – technical training in set-up, integration, configuration and use of MACHIA systems.
Training Support – support for units and organisations building internal competence, procedures and field capability.
